So glad you asked! While a psychotherapist often explores one’s past to examine unhealthy thought patterns and influences, an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach (INHC) focuses primarily on the present and future. Integrative Nutrition Health Coaches (INHC) highlight clients’ strengths and help them to make immediate lifestyle changes to work toward their goals. I combine mental health knowledge with my knowing of health coaching to bring you wellness coaching.
As previously mentioned, I take a very holistic approach, regardless of whether we’re doing wellness coaching sessions or psychotherapy sessions. The only differnce is the depth in which we go in each type of session.
In coaching sessions, we will talk about topics such as relationships, career, and spirituality however, we do so in order to find the barriers to your current health & wellness goals. After identifying these barriers, we work on creating a structure that allows you to either work around the barriers or eradicate them altogether. Think of it like a sports or fitness coach, where you come together to create a game plan and they help keep you focused along the way.
In psychotherapy sessions, we also talk about your relationships, career, and anything else you can think of as it relates to your current mental health issue. The overall sentiment is “my emotional and mental state is taking over my life and now everything is grey and dull”. Let’s say you’re emotionally exhausted and its causing you to be short-tempered with your family and friends. We would walk through the current problem as it presents in your life today as well as dive into the reasons behind the emotional exhaustion and identify past situations or traumas that might have contributed to your current state of burnout. The goal is to understand where the emotions are coming from in order to deal with the underlying belief. With holistic psychotherapy, we not only consider your heart & mind but your body & spirit as well. Once understood, it allows more freedom to rewrite the story & implement new ways of being.

It depends!
You don’t have to live in the state of Florida to get wellness coaching, as this can be done all over the world.
However, we are only registered in the state of Florida to provide psychotherapy (mental health services) and thus, anyone seeking individual, couple, and/or group therapy services must be residents of Florida.
Anyone who is not, can visit www.psychologytoday.com to view a list of licensed therapists in your area.

Sessions range from $150 to $250 based on the kind of service. For psychotherapy services, there are a limited number of available spots open per week at a sliding scale price, which would be determined in the initial consultation.
Payment is processed via a secure client portal and is paid at the start of each session.

Wellness is a committment that should be taken seriously. I have found in the past that clients who are paying minimum prices also put in minimum effort. What’s the harm in missing an appointment when it was only $20? This process should feel like an investment because it truly is. Keeping my rates sustainable (for this day & age) also allows me to offer reduced rates to individuals that truly need it. Think of it this way — if you have the ability to afford the full rate, you’re essentially paying it forward, allowing someone else who cannot to still get services. And what I have found is when those clients are in better financial positions, they tend to want to pay it foward as well.

We currently do not accept insurance but are happy to provide you with a superbill after services are rendered to submit for possible reimbursement (only for mental health services). This is best for those with out-of-network (OON) benefits. We also have the ability the check your OON benefits within the initial consulation to see whether or not you could get some of your costs reimbursed by your health insurance.
We accept all major credit and debit cards and HSA/FSA cards. Please note it's your responsibility to verify coverage on a continuous basis. Payment is NOT required for the free consultation but is required to book your first official appointment.

If you are unable to keep an appointment, please notify us immediately, either via email or phone. A notice of 24 hours+ is required for cancellation without a fee. You will be billed the full session fee for appointments cancelled or missed with less than 24 hours prior notice.
